In the Japanese art of flower arranging, individual, selected flowers are artfully arranged together with branches, blossoms, and buds. Often, the individual flowers are displayed in a shallow bowl filled with a small amount of water. The so-called Fakir is particularly helpful: a pin frog, on whose spikes the flower stems are impaled, allowing them to find support and stand upright even without the rim of a vase or a tall vessel.
This traditional pin frog Fakir is indispensable for arranging flowers and holds flowers and branches well. The Fakir has a rubber ring to keep the arrangement in place. Additionally, the rubber ring protects the vase or bowl from damage.
