Fabric bag Unikko | 60th Anniversary

This is Marimekko's anniversary bag this year, as the brand celebrates its 60th birthday. More than just a simple fabric bag. The practical Pieni fabric bag is printed with the famous cheerful floral design for which Marimekko is so popular. The tote bag is made from unbleached cotton, which is printed in Helsinki.

Marimekko's famous Unikko poppy pattern was created in 1964, at a time when the design house's collections mainly featured abstract prints. Designer Maija Isola wanted to make something interesting out of this organic theme and created a whole series of floral prints. Today, the iconic flower stands for creativity.
