Creating An Art Wall
Statement Wall, Art Wall, Picture Wall, Gallery Wall... We love the effect that a curated collection of pictures has on a room.
All you need is preparation, a few tools, and our simple step-by-step guide.
In our shop, you will find a great selection of various art prints and posters for inspiration.

I. Inspirations
Gathering inspirations is the first and most important step in designing a gallery wall. Themes, colors, or different styles can be mixed as desired - but if you maintain a consistent element for all pieces, everything will elegantly come together. First, consider different color palettes or an overarching theme. The most important tool for this is creating a mood board. Instagram and Pinterest are good places to gather inspiration.
When making your selection, make sure to consider both different sizes and different art styles. A mix of a delicate drawing and bold graphics can create a completely new dynamic.

Where will your art wall be located? How much space should the arrangement occupy? You can get a better idea of what the gallery wall should look like (and how large it should be) by applying "empty frames" to the wall with masking tape.
If you are artistically inclined, you can sketch different layouts. Of course, you can also create a collage of your pictures to get a feel for how the different patterns and textures interact with each other.
STYLING TIP Remember to consider the spacing between each artwork, which helps the artworks breathe and stand out individually, but also be part of a whole.
Take your time with the process; the possibilities are truly endless.
Once you have found a layout you like, be sure to take a photo of it and save it for later use.

III. The final selection
By now, you should have a clearer idea of how many prints will hang on the gallery wall, what size they should be, and what overall look you want to give the room. Now comes the fun part: shopping for the right art prints and artworks. Either to create a complete art wall or to complement existing artworks. Here you will find a great selection of exclusive art prints and posters.
When planning your gallery wall, you should also think about the frames, as the framing can add as much style and personality to the room as the artwork itself.

IV. Hanging the artworks
Now it's time to decide where the center of your gallery wall should be. It's easy to be tempted to hang the artworks too high. However, the center of the art wall should be about 1.5 m above the floor. This corresponds to the average human eye level and is often used as a standard in galleries and museums.
Now all you have to do is hang your well-planned, perfectly measured, and beautifully coordinated art wall. For this, you will need a good tape measure, a spirit level, a hammer and nails, and some patience.
When the last nail is hammered into the wall and each artwork is balanced, treat yourself to a well-deserved cup of coffee, sit back, and enjoy the view.
